CAT-001, designated “Whisper”, is to be contained in a reinforced, multi-layered isolation chamber at Site-A. The chamber is constructed with a blend of anti-psychic alloys and sound-dampening materials to nullify its primary abilities. The chamber is suspended in a vacuum-sealed containment shell to prevent any form of sound transmission.

All personnel assigned to CAT-001 must undergo extensive psychological screening and wear specialized sound-canceling headgear at all times. Any breaches in the containment chamber must be reported immediately, and Site-A is to enter full lockdown. Under no circumstances are personnel to engage in direct communication with Whisper.

Description:

Cat-001, “Whisper,” is a humanoid entity standing approximately 2.3 meters tall with an emaciated physique and elongated limbs. Its most notable feature is its face, which appears featureless except for a small lipless mouth. The skin is a dull, ashen gray, with a texture resembling cracked stone.

Whisper emits an almost imperceptible hum that seems to resonate directly within the minds of those within a 50-meter radius. This sound, referred to as “the Whisper,” is the source of its anomalous abilities. The Whisper can induce a range of effects depending on the proximity and exposure duration, including but not limited to:

• Induced Hallucinations: Victims begin to perceive distorted versions of reality, often focusing on their deepest fears and anxieties.
• Psychological Manipulation: Whisper can subtly implant thoughts or commands into the minds of those affected, compelling them to act against their will.
• Cognitive Decay: Prolonged exposure leads to a progressive breakdown of cognitive functions, resulting in severe memory loss, confusion, and, eventually, a catatonic state.

Whisper’s origins are unknown, and all attempts to communicate with or study the entity have resulted in a failure or fatality. It was first discovered in [REDACTED], following a series of unexplained mass disappearances in a remote village. The recovery team sent to contain Whisper was initially lost, with only incoherent transmissions received before contact was lost. A second, heavily armed containment team succeeded in securing the entity, though with 80% casualties.
